Buick Enclave Seat Covers

An Enclave with a hundred thousand miles of school runs and road trips usually still drives great. The seats are another story. A cracked driver bolster, or a split seam, makes a well-kept SUV feel a lot older than it is, and it bugs you every time you get in.

Replace Worn Buick Enclave Seat Covers The Right Way

What Wears Out First On A Buick Enclave Seat

The driver's seat bottom and outer bolster go first, then the perforated leather, then the second row. Each one wears out for a different reason, and that tells you which cover you'll end up needing.

The Driver Bolster And Seat Bottom

The driver's seat gets more hours than all the other seats in the Enclave put together. Every time you get in or out, your weight slides across that outer bolster, and the front edge of the seat bottom flexes under you. Over the years, that rubbing wears through the finish, loosens the stitching, and finally opens up a crack. It happens slowly enough that most owners don't notice how bad it's gotten until the split is obvious and foam starts poking through.

Perforated Leather On Heated And Cooled Seats

Plenty of Enclave trims came with perforated leather so the heated and cooled seats can push air through the surface. Those little holes look great new, but each one weakens the leather a bit. As the leather dries out from sun exposure and temperature swings, cracks form around the holes and then connect across the panel. Once it gets to that point, no amount of conditioner will bring it back, and the only real fix is a new cover for that seat.

Second Row Seats In A Three-Row Family Hauler

To get to the third row, somebody has to fold, slide, or climb past the second row, and that adds up. The hinges and seat edges stretch the upholstery every time the seats fold, and kids climbing through scuff up the cushions and side panels. A few years in, the second row can look worse than the front passenger seat, even though adults hardly ever sit there. That one catches a lot of Enclave owners off guard.

How Are Our Buick Enclave Seat Covers Built

We build our Buick Enclave seat covers from OEM-matched material, cut from a digital pattern of the original seat, and sewn by hand in our Plano shop. Here's what goes into every one before it ships.

Top-Grain Leather With Vinyl Side Skirting

Our Enclave leather seat covers use genuine automotive-grade top-grain cowhide on the seating surface, with vinyl side skirting, just as Buick builds its leather interiors. We get that leather and vinyl from the original tanneries and vinyl makers that supplied the material when your Enclave was built. If yours came with cloth, we match the original weave and color instead. You get the same material your SUV left the factory with, so the new seat blends right in with the door panels and console.

Perforations, Spacer Fabric, And Foam Backing

If your original seats had perforated leather, we built that into the replacement and added 3D spacer fabric, so your heated and cooled seats continue to work as they should. We sew 1/2-inch foam backing behind the leather seating surface and 1/4-inch flame-laminated foam behind the vinyl skirting. That backing gives the cover some backbone, so it holds its shape for years. We also use the right gauge thread in the matching color on every seam.

Patterned For Each Seat Position And Airbag Tested

The front, second, and third row seats in an Enclave all have different shapes and attachment points. We pattern each cover to the exact seat it replaces and use OEM-matching attachment methods, so it stays put no matter how hard that seat gets used. Before we sell any airbag-equipped cover, it is tested at a qualified facility to ensure the airbag deploys as it would with an original cover, down to the millisecond.

Should You Replace One Enclave Seat Or All Of Them

Just replace the seats that are actually worn. We sell Enclave covers one seat position at a time, so there's no reason to buy a full set unless every seat is in rough shape.

When Only The Driver's Seat Needs Work

On most Enclaves, the driver's bottom is the only piece with real damage, while everything else still looks fine. Buy that one cover and the problem's fixed without paying for seats that don't need it. Every position in our Seat Covers lineup is listed separately by year and submodel, so you can add the driver or passenger seat later if they start going. That also lets you spread the cost out instead of paying for everything at once.

Keeping One New Cover Consistent With The Rest

If you're buying seat covers for Buick Enclave one seat at a time, you'll want to know the color lines up. Enter your VIN at checkout, and we'll verify your trim code, seat style, and factory color before anything ships. Heads up, though: years of sun can darken lighter leather and lighten darker leather. Your new cover matches the factory color, so it might look a little richer than the older seats next to it at first. That difference usually softens as the new leather breaks in.

Planning A Change From Cloth To Leather

Some Enclave owners want to go from cloth to leather while they're at it. Sometimes our leather covers fit cloth seats, but the patterns can differ between cloth and leather builds, and some seats have the upholstery bonded right to the foam. Before you order, hit us up by chat, email, or phone at 214-710-2565, and our seat guys will tell you straight whether a conversion works on your Enclave.
