GMC Acadia Seat Covers

Your Acadia still runs fine. It hauls the kids, the groceries, and the camping gear without a complaint. But every time you climb in, there's that split in the driver's bolster staring back at you, and the seat sits a little lower than it used to. We get it.

Why Do GMC Acadia Seats Wear Out Before The Rest Of The SUV

Because a few spots on the seat take almost all the abuse, while the engine and frame keep going strong. Here's where we see the damage start on most Acadias that come our way.

The Driver Bolster Takes Every Entry And Exit

Every time you get in or out, you drag across that outer bolster on the driver's seat. Do that a few thousand times, and the finish wears off, the seams loosen, and the material finally splits. The Acadia sits higher than a sedan, so most guys pivot and push off that bolster even harder getting out. That's why the driver's bottom is almost always the first thing to go while the passenger side still looks decent, and a small crack there usually turns into a full tear within a season or two.

Heat Cycles Dry Out Leather And Perforated Inserts

Park an Acadia outside in the summer, and the seats bake all afternoon, then cool off overnight. Leather and vinyl swell and shrink with every one of those cycles, and over time, they lose the oils that keep them flexible. The perforated inserts on heated and cooled seats get it worst, because every little hole is a weak spot where a crack can start. Once cracking shows up along a seam or fold, it keeps spreading across the panel.

Second And Third Row Seats Take A Different Kind Of Abuse

The back rows don't rack up hours like the driver's seat, but they get beaten up in other ways. Kids climb in with muddy shoes, sports bags get tossed across the cushions, and folding the seats flat for cargo stretches the upholstery at the hinge points. After a few years, the second row picks up scuffs, stains, and stretched seams that make a clean cabin look tired every time you open the back door.

What Goes Into Our GMC Acadia Seat Covers

Our GMC Acadia seat covers are true replacements, made from OEM-matched materials, machine-cut, hand-sewn, and built to attach the same way the original did. Here's what goes into every one of the seat covers for GMC Acadia that leaves our shop.

Leather And Vinyl Matched To Your Original Interior

We build our Acadia covers in leather and vinyl, matched to the color, grain, and feel your SUV had from the factory. That material comes from the same OEM supply chain GM's suppliers use, so the new seat looks like it belongs there. If your Acadia has GM Micro Perf Inserts, we build that perforation into the cover so your heated and cooled seats continue to work after the install.

Digitally Cut, Hand Sewn, And Backed With Foam

Every piece gets cut by machine from a digital pattern of the original seat, then our crew in Plano sews it by hand. We sew 1/2-inch foam backing behind the leather seating surface and 1/4-inch flame-laminated foam behind the vinyl side skirting. That backing gives the cover some structure, so it holds its shape for years instead of going baggy. We also use the right thread gauge and color so the seams look factory and stay tight.

Airbag Certified With OEM Attachments

Before we sell any airbag-equipped cover, it is tested at a qualified facility to ensure the airbag fires as it would with an original cover. Every cover comes sewn with the same attachment setup as your seat used from the factory, so it hooks onto the frame the way GM built it. We hold every GMC cover to that same standard, from the Acadia to our GMC Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD Seat Covers.

How Do You Order The Right Acadia Seat Cover For Your Year And Trim

Know your year, trim, and which seat you're replacing, then give us your VIN so we can double-check everything before it ships. Get those right, and you'll get the right cover the first time.

First And Second-Generation Seats Are Built Differently

GMC redesigned the Acadia for the 2017 model year. The second generation is a smaller SUV with different seats than the 2007 to 2016 models, so the two don't swap. If you're shopping for 2019 GMC Acadia seat covers or 2020 GMC Acadia seat covers, you need a cover built off the second-generation seat, not the older one. Trim also matters, since Denali and SLT seats can use different materials and perforations. Our Shop by Vehicle tool shows exactly which years and submodels we currently build.

Your VIN Confirms The Factory Color

GM offers several interior colors for the Acadia, and some of them look almost identical on screen. Drop your VIN in at checkout, or send it to us in chat before you order, and we'll run it to confirm your trim code and factory color. One heads-up: years of sun exposure can darken or lighten the original leather. Your new cover matches the factory color, not the faded seat next to it.

Order Only The Seat Position That Needs It

You don't need to replace the whole interior to fix one bad seat. We build covers by seat position, like driver bottom or driver back, so you only replace the piece that's actually torn up. Most Acadia owners start with the driver's seat and add more later if other seats start wearing. That keeps the job small and the cost where it should be, without paying for seats that are fine.

How Does A Factory Match Replacement Compare To Other Acadia Seat Fixes?

Most folks try a cheaper fix or two before they call us. Here's how those options usually work out compared to a cover built for your exact seat:

  • Universal Seat Toppers: They sit on top of the torn seat, slide around every time you sit, and never match your interior.
  • Junkyard Acadia Seats: They're cheaper, but finding your exact trim and color in better shape than yours is rare.
  • Dealer Replacement Parts: Dealer upholstery costs a bunch, and parts for older Acadias are sometimes discontinued, with nothing to replace them.
  • Upholstery Patch Jobs: A patched panel almost never matches the surrounding color or grain, and patches tend to fail again fast.
  • Cheap Online Knockoffs: Low prices usually mean synthetic material, sloppy patterns, and seams that start splitting within a few months.
  • Our Factory Match Replacement: We swap the worn cover for matched material with OEM attachments, so the seat looks original again.

Do the job once with a cover built from your actual seat pattern, and you won't have to redo it next year.

Does an Acadia seat cover include the foam cushion underneath?

No. Our seat covers replace the upholstery only, and foam cushions for many makes and models are sold separately.

Can you add the Denali logo to my replacement cover?

No. Manufacturer and edition logos are trademarked, so we don't replicate them. Dealers sell original covers with logos.

How long do I have to return an unused Acadia cover?

You can request a full refund within 35 days of shipment, or an exchange or store credit within 65 days.

Does the warranty transfer if I sell my Acadia?

No. Our warranty is non-transferable and covers only the original purchaser who bought the product directly from us.

Can I pick up my order if I live near Dallas?

Yes. If you're in the DFW area, call us at 214-710-2565 to place your order and pick it up.

Do you ship Acadia seat covers outside the United States?

No. We don't currently offer international shipping, so all orders ship to addresses within the United States.
