Good Product, But Impossible to Properly Install

First, I love everything else about The Seat Shop. It's just this one product...

It's well made and looks okay, but it doesn't look RIGHT. The reason is that there is no way to pull the seams into the back cushion and secure them. The seat bottom has Velcro, which is great. And the original seat back-cover had a separate back panel which allowed access to use hog rings to secure the the cover seams to the foam rubber and to metal rib-wires to create the pillow-effect at the front of the back rest. But the replacement cover is permanently closed on 5 sides, leaving no way to get hog-ring pliers in there to secure anything. The result is that instead of a nice plush pillowy effect on the back rest, it just sort of hangs there like any second rate seat cover might. It's a shame, and maybe it just isn't possible...but GM did find a way to make it happen originally. (In hindsight I wonder if this is why they have a video on how to install the seat bottom cover for this year and model, but then switched to a different year for their video showing the back rest cover)

Sorry that my only review so far had to be kind of negative. Overall, I'm really glad I found The Seat Shop. They make a good product!

Hello, Steve, thank you for your thorough review. I am sorry to hear that you had a hard time installing your new seat cover. For best results, start with the seat cover inside out, roll it onto the seat, and secure the hog rings as you go. I’ll also share your feedback with our team to see about creating an installation video for this seat. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
