2002 Suburban arm rest replacement

The replacement armrest cover is a VERY tight fit which makes it look great when in place. So the quality is very high - but unfortunately we did end up tearing the zipper stitching in the process. I may have to get a replacement and try it again. I will say the video showing how to replace the armrest is a must see. I even lost the clip in to the seat as I was warned might happen, but the fix using a binder clip worked great. So two things - there's the removal of the armrest and how to do that and the installation of the new vinyl cover over the damaged armrest. Both are not simple to do even with great hand strength.

Great Product

I received two passengers armrest covers and needed to swap one for a drivers armrest cover. I ordered one of each and received the two passenger covers. Initially, when I notified The Seat Shop, they sent a return UPS voucher. I assumed the drivers armrest was on it's way, only to discover it was not. When I notified The Seat Shop a second time, they unformed me they had originally sent a passenger and driver armrest cover. As a customer, I really didn't appreciate being called a liar, especially after spending over a thousand dollars in Seat covers. So, I left a note indicating my displeasure and they sent a drivers armrest cover to me. Also, I returned the additional passenger armrest, to be true to my word. It bothers me that I had enough trust in The Seat Shop for a thousand dollar order; however, they had no trust in me to swap a $40.00 armrest cover. This being said, the product is very good and hoping this review assists their customer service.

We appreciate your feedback, Stephen. We are always trying to get better. As standard procedure, when there is an exchange, the system always waits for the return to hit the mail stream before the replacement order is fulfilled. In cases where we make a mistake, we typically ask for a photo of the item in question, and I think that would have resolved this issue pretty quickly, but it looks like we missed that step. In that case, we would have manually approved the correct replacement regardless of whether the new one had been shipped back, which is what we did once you explained the issue to us. We are sorry for the confusion, and the bad taste you had after purchasing from us.

Great armrest cover and service!

Color match was correct. Looks great. Easy to install. No more cracked vinyl biting my forearm. YouTube install video was well done with all the needed steps and the little extra details that show these guys are not salesmen but techs that care what they do. Would definitely recommend buying from them.

The new foam is nice and sturdy and provides much better support while driving and I no longer have pain in my leg and hips from the old, worn out cushion.

Needed to replace the upper and lower heating elements in my 05 Tahoe. The OEM upper heat element was burned badly, This part worked great seems to be well made. Gets very toasty! Only with the replacement lower element got just as hot. I do recommend this for your seats.

Bought both the cover and the cushion and they went in easy and look like new. I do wish there was more on the removal of the seat from the truck. Newer seats are a lot different than the previous years. Wasn't quite prepared for that. All in all took about 2 hours for the entire process.
