2003 - 2006 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer - Driver or Passenger Side Replacement Cushion - Bucket Seat Style

Overall the quality of the foam seems to be very good. My old foam was original stock from 2006 and it needed replacing. I am dinging 2 stars because of the following. The old foam, even back in 2006 was soft and form fitting as you sat in the drivers seat. This new foam is much firmer and I now ride a bit higher versus the old foam. Also since it is so stiff, connecting the clamps for the lower seat cover was almost impossible. I had to get someone to sit on it and push down with their body. Time will tell if the foam with use will soften up a bit but the density of the product may prevent that. So for short drives its fine but a long haul on the road might wreck havoc with my lower back and seat area.

My cushion had disintegrated on the left side where you slide into the truck all the time. 2003 ford expedition. As a result, the bolster was flat and the vinyl was and still is all cracked and has holes. I'll replace that later. I was more concerned about the foam. Probably a 25 minute install. I have lots of tools. Feels like a new car now. I put some rv goop over the cracks and worn through areas of my vinyl for now. When I took my cushion out, very easy to do watching their YouTube video, it was literally fine foam pieces everywhere like it was ground foam. The springs underneath has had cut deep grooves into my old seat. I sit up a little higher now and have full support. I wished I had done this earlier. My only gripe is that I feel the price of over $100 is ridiculous it that is just my opinion.

The video made the install extremely simple for my 2004 Expedition EB. Stretching the seat cover over the new foam takes a few minutes to get everything lined up just right, but it's not hard. I did need an extra hand to push the front down to get the cover clipped on, this is due to severe Rheumatoid Arthritis though which has greatly impacted my hand strength. The new foam feels amazing and the improvement made by The Seat Shop should prevent the wire frame from cutting into the foam cushion again. All in all easy to install, cheaper and superior to a factory replacement. Finding the video was the hardest part for me. It shows only the seat cover replacement, since the foam cushion simply sits on the frame and is held in by the cover. If your seat foam is disintegrated on the left side from climbing in and out this will be a welcome repair to get you sitting upright again. The seat firmness is noticeably firmer than the old OEM one and I actually feel like I sit higher and see better. The sides of the seat now cup your butt firmly and give a sense of control as you drive. The dimensions are made exactly so it fit perfectly in the seat frame and the seat cover fit over it without any sagging or wrinkles. The installation was fairly simple. Overall, I'm glad I purchased this one over a cheaper knock-off because it fit correctly and will give better comfort over a long trip.
