MY 2003 SUBURBAN LOOKS BRAND NEW - REAR SEATS COMPLETELY REDONE ARE AWESOME!

The folks at The Seat Shop have excellent products and excellent Customer Service. I have twice replaced my Driver Seat and decided @ 230K miles it was time to do the whole car and the foam was showing through on the front passenger seat.

Now my Suburban looks brand new. This was not my first rodeo and I did get hung up. I have also replaced all the bottom seats and front heat pads for my wife's 2004 Tahoe. (Also all product from the Seat Shop and the car looks great) For the rear seats in a 2003 Suburban there is the carpeted board (it flips back when you put the seat flat) that must be removed to put a new top cover on the rear passenger seats right and left. I drilled out the 3 rivets to detach the board and slipped the cover right over. There was a tiny bit of adjusting to do so I called The Seat Shop nervous that I brought the wrong cover. Bryan the owner jumped right on the phone and walked me through the procedure on Facetime.

The net is once you attach the new cover - you have to feel for the three holes in the aluminum sheet where the previous rivets were and I drill them out. Next I put 3/4" in bolts through the holes and the board hinge with a lock washer - now they're sturdier and stronger than the OEM rivets. Bryan also suggested a #6 self-tapper. I like the bolt and lock washer better. Personal preference I guess.

Wow Greg, thank you so much for sharing your experience! We are glad we were able to help you to restore your Suburban interior, and that Brian managed to help you through that tough setup on the 2nd row!
