A reluctantly bad review

I wanted to rebuilt the drivers seat in my 2013 Expedition Limited with black leather. Every single review for the Seat Shop was glowing, many of them speaking of the color match to OE. The covers I received had an obvious/glaring color difference between the vinyl parts (which appeared gray) and the leather. To be fair, so does the OE covers. BUT, the OE leather and vinyl are a closer match to each other, and both look "black". It just looked bad. It was really disappointing because other than that the quality of the construction and feel looked great. Customer service was great, and they took back both back and bottom covers at no expense to me. Management called this within the margin of error for color match........which I just can't understand. Either way, they said if they made me another set it would likely be from the same materials. Quality control missed just how far off this roll of vinyl was when it came through receiving and now they are stuck with it. Maybe others won't notice, or it won't bother them. I'm not here to rip on The Seat Shop, but I felt it was important for someone who didn't have a good outcome to actually say so. My expectations were so high that I was dumbfounded by the result. So, here's the sole voice telling you to temper your expectations. The only solution for me is to live with the wear or buy OE covers from Ford that are exponentially more expensive.
