We just wanted a comfortable seat! When creating our Durofoam line, we took our time to match the factory specifications but INCREASED the density, creating a tougher, firmer, more durable foam cushion. Your seat cover will install directly to the new foam cushion using the same attachment methods as the OEM cushion. If you have heated seats, your OEM heater will easily transfer to the new Durofoam cushion. This model is manufactured with a reinforced backing underneath to help prevent the seat frame or spring assembly from cutting into the cushion. Stop putting up with aches, pains, and numb legs. Put Durofoam in your vehicle and enjoy the Durofoam Difference every time you sit in the driver seat.

I bought this product and had it installed professionally. Changed only bottom cushion and leather cover of both driver and passenger side. Heat/Cool, everything works great. My only complain is that the new improved cushion I changed to, which I wish I had not, is too stiff, I hate it and it's only matter of time when I am going to change it back now. Not only me, but anyone who seats in the truck complains about my seats now. I don't have any back or leg problems , this is NOT for you.I guarantee you! . 20 minutes ride is all it takes for me now.

Regarding the cushion firmness, we completely understand that comfort is personal. Our Durofoam cushions are intentionally engineered to be firmer than worn factory foam, because most original cushions break down over time and lose their support. When someone replaces an older, compressed cushion, the new one can feel noticeably stiffer at first.

That said, comfort preference varies from person to person. Some customers love the added support, while others prefer the softer feel of broken-in factory foam. It is also worth noting that your new foam may break in a bit over time and soften slightly.

Very nice

Exceptionally pleased. I’m not an upholstery guy but I do have mechanical experience. It wasn’t super easy being my first seat repair but I did have help and the cushion was an excellent choice! The cover was a quality replacement and I’m glad I made the purchase. Definitely would recommend these products to anyone and I’m certain I’ll use them again.

Durofoam Cushion

1st off I am a truck driver. What I noticed with Durofoam is longevity,comfort and accuracy. My second purchase because of a/c and heated seats I used oem cover. You will notice the seat because of density the lumbar and armrest are in perfect position. Also re check your mirrors. Because of foam while being comfortable it doesn’t collapse like stock foam. I highly recommend their products. This is top of the line.

Do It.

I had a tear in the driver's seat of my 2018 Yukon XL for a couple of months. I purchased both the cushion and cover and watched the video multiple times before tackling the job. My vehicle had the heated and ventilated seats so there were a few extra steps involved but nothing I (nor you) couldn't complete. If you are on the fence on the DIY part of this job, just do it. You will be fine. Take your time and work slowly. The hardest part of the job was disconnecting the electrical connections under the seat after the seat was out of the car. Overall, I would say the job was a 3 out of 10. Follow the steps, heat the leather so you can manipulate it easier, and complete the job. Go for it today.

2006 GMC, after 300K+ miles, my driver seat had separated, exposing the foam. I ordered a foam base and replacement covers for seat, back, & arm rest.
The first great thing was The Seat Shop caught that my color selection didn't match the VIN decoded color, so they emailed and confirmed that they were right and fixed this during the order!
All the items were correct, shipped well, and I went to work. The videos were clear, easy to follow, and I won't say it was easy replacing the seat surfaces, it was doable, even for this "senior citizen" and the seat feels like new. I'm sitting about an inch taller on the replacement foam, probably at the OEM new position. And the truck has that new leather smell! I'm ready for the next 20 years and hundreds of thousands of miles! Thanks for the products.
